As you will be aware, the Government has announced a date for gyms to reopen and I can confirm that The Hurst Gym will reopen on the 12th April.
However, we have had to consider the risks to pupils, staff and our members in the preparation of our plans to reopen due to Covid restraints and the requirement for additional space within the School.
In light of this, it has been decided that there will be a phased opening. The initial phase will see the opening hours for evenings and weekends only. This means that from 12th April our opening hours will be:
|Monday to Thursday:||5pm to 10pm|
|Friday:||5pm to 9pm|
|Saturday:||8:30am to 4:30pm|
|Sunday:||8:30am to 4:30pm|
We have extended the Sunday opening hours from 12pm to 4.30pm in line with the Saturday opening hours and there is the possibility that we will extend the Friday opening until 10pm, if there is a demand.
Looking ahead, we will be able to open the classes from 17th May and they too will run during the evening and weekend times. However, we will expand the current programme with additional evening and weekend classes to increase availability.
We apologies for the inconvenience this may cause, but our priority is to keep everyone safe.
Due to the reduced opening hours we are reducing the monthly membership fee for all members to £20 per month, whilst students and teens will be reduced to £17 per month. For those members on an off-peak membership you will have evening access to the gym and classes. The implementation of the change of fee will be actioned by The Hurst and members are not required to do anything, although there will be a 30-day notice period to change the Direct Debit which will mean that Direct Debit processed from12th April will be at the normal charge. The price change will come in to effect from 1st May.
We anticipate that this phase will be in place until 21st June but will keep you updated and informed of any changes via email and our website.
